Ryan Moses, born and raised on the south side of Chicago, found his love for music early on, surrounded by the soulful sounds of Motown, Smooth Jazz, House, Neo-Soul, and R&B at family gatherings. As a teenager, he immersed himself in the discographies of his favorite artists, unknowingly laying the foundation for his future career. While attending Alcorn State University, he honed his DJ skills, crafting sets that told stories and resonated with listeners. After graduating with a degree in computer science, Ryan moved to Washington D.C. where he professionalized his DJ business while holding down a full-time job as a Software Engineer.
Since moving back to Chicago, he has established numerous residencies and launched his DJ mix series, "No Requests." He has even taken his business a step further by offering DJ lessons and building the grassroots production, Sounds For The Soul (S4TS). This sparked the desire in Ryan to expand his creative reach realizing he has more to offer creatively than only DJing. Ryan has even landed a position a Drip Collective as the Music Director in fall 2025.
Ryan's talent and dedication have taken him coast to coast, with gigs in Los Angeles, New York City, Atlanta, DC, Miami, and Houston. He’s landed major events like AFROTECH and an international debut in London UK for New Years Eve in 2024.
Through his time back in his hometown, Ryan has built a solid following through diligent work as a DJ and event curator, collaborating with a multitude of startups, corporations, local vendors, and artists including Chance The Rapper. What is important for Ryan is doing good work, establishing solid relationships and collaborating with like-minded individuals; the work he has produced is a testament to those standards.
